Senior Saints

So you may be wondering, what is a Senior Saint? Well, it is a person who is a God-fearing Christian over the age of 55. We have several in our congregation that are often overlooked and underappreciated. We have so much to gain from these wonderful people. They have a wealth of experience and knowledge, as well as wonderful stories of life and love, tidbits of history, and snippets of sound advice. I think too often today we are in so much of a hurry that we don’t want to stop and take the time to listen to what they have to say, and I think that is a tragic mistake. I love the Senior Saints that I spend weekly time with, and they are a blessing and encouragment to me. The old adage “respect your elders” is something that should be acted upon! Take time to talk with a Senior Saint, and I guarantee, not only will you make their day, but they will make yours!

Senior Saints are a blessing to all. They have so much to offer all ages. I now some very special Senior Saints and I thank God for the privilege to take the time to visit with them and “sit at their feet” to learn. Thanks for sharing Rachel. Welcome to the world of blogging!
